In ihrer langen Geschichte waren Dokumentarfilme von jeher beeinflusst von Impulsen, die durch neue technische Möglichkeiten gesetzt wurden. Ob in ihrer Inszenierung, ihrer Montage oder Perspektive, es gibt eine reichhaltige Fülle an Filmen, die zeigen, wie sich der Dokumentarfilm immer wieder weiter entwickelt hat. Im Fokus der Veranstaltung stehen neue Formen und Erzählweisen des Dokumentarfilms heute, ebenso wie neue Vertriebswege und Plattformen des Austausches, die durch Referenten vorgestellt werden. Es werden aktuelle Dokumentarfilme zu sehen sein, die in ihrer jeweils ungewöhnlichen Erzählform zeigen, wohin sich der Dokumentarfilm entwickelt.

Historiquement, les films documentaires ont toujours été influencés par les possibilités qu’offrent les nouvelles technologies. De nombreuses réalisations témoignent de la manière dont le film documentaire a évolué, que ce soit en terme de mise en scène, montage ou perspective. Au cours de la manifestation, différents intervenants vous emmèneront à la découverte des nouvelles formes et modes de narration du film documentaire, nouveaux modes de distributions et plateformes d’échange. Une sélection de films documentaires aux modes de narration pour le moins atypiques permettra de comprendre les changements dont il est question.

ZERO IMPUNITY - Das Projekt

ZERO IMPUNITY is a transmedia project which combines investigative journalism with a wake up call to action. For centuries victims of heinous sexual war crimes have experienced the horrific abuse and its devastating consequences, yet very few have had the courage or the support to break the centuries old silence and speak up. ZERO IMPUNITY offers a voice to victims in countries across the globe. Since January 2017, 6 investigations have been progressively published, one by one, by an international media consortium and on the zeroimpunity.com website. In partnership with Change.org, each investigation is extended by a petition and the possibility to participate in digitial demonstrations that can be projected onto large buildings and public spaces with enormous impact. The petitions include concrete demands, for change as well as the road map to get there. 400,000 citizens have already joined the movement, signing petitions demanding concrete actions, including special training within the french army and criminal code reforms in Ukraine.

FATIMA raises her voice, in the name of her daughter, 11 year-old-Nora, abducted like thousands of children and sexually tortured in the prisons of the Syrian regime. ALISA, a survivor of sexual violence during the Donbass conflict in Ukraine, finally speaks out; forbidden to press charges in her own country. MARK, a former interrogator in Guantanamo, denounces the institutionalized system which used sexual torture on detainees in the U.S. military prison.
ZERO IMPUNITY confronts the dirty mechanics of major international institutions, fueled by an global culture of hopelessness, neglect and denial. The liberation of suppressed voices and the support structures now available are the first step in providing the crucial tools needed to heal. This film features exclusive records from the United Nations, Oscar nominated animation, and most importantly a message of hope, renewal and real change.

TADMOR

Das Gefängnis in Tadmor war ein Ort der Grausamkeit. Nach dem Volksaufstand gegen das syrische Regime im Jahre 2011 bricht eine Gruppe ehemaliger Gefangener ihr Schweigen über ihre langjährige Haft. Bis zu seiner Zerstörung durch den IS im Jahr 2015 saßen in dem Bauwerk syrische und libanesische Gegner des Assad-Regimes ein, wurden systematisch gefoltert und gedemütigt. Acht von ihnen legen in dem Film Zeugnis ab von dem Horror, den sie erlebt haben. Um ihr Trauma zu verarbeiten, bauen sie in einer verlassenen Schule in der Nähe von Beirut Tadmor nach. Dort spielen sie in verteilten Rollen Opfer und Täter nach – und erleben ihr Überleben neu. Tadmor ist ein erstaunlicher Film, der den Zuschauer mit der Kraft der Worte und der Plastizität seiner Bilder in den Bann zieht. Ein vielschichtiger und sensibler Film all denen gewidmet, die überlebt haben und denen, die noch immer gefangen gehalten werden.

Dokomotive Plattform – Die Zukunft hat begonnen

Das Filmkollektiv Dokomotive besteht aus einem Zusammenschluss von Kölner Filmemachern und setzt auf seiner Online-Plattform wechselnde filmische Schwerpunkte. Regelmäßig wird ein Doku-Paket aus Online Film + Special Screening + Diskurs Video veröffentlicht. Damit setzt die Plattform der Entwöhnung vom anspruchsvollen Dokumentarfilm neue Formen der Rezeption und Impulse zum Dialog entgegen. Die circa 20 Dokumentarfilmer/innen vom Dokomotive Filmkollektiv verstehen sich als eine kulturelle Gemeinschaft und haben sich anspruchsvolle Ziele gesetzt: Neue Brücken zum Publikum schlagen, um mehr Aufmerksamkeit für den Dokumentarfilm zu erreichen.

Portal für unabhängige Dokumentarfilme

Einige Dokumentarfilmschaffende entwickeln in Kooperation mit Realeyz.de und der AG DOK ein neues Konzept zur Verbreitung unabhängiger Dokumentarfilme. Frei finanzierte, unkonventionelle und gesellschaftlich relevante Filmwerke sollen eine alternative Plattform finden und so gesellschaftlicher Diversität zu mehr Sichtbarkeit verhelfen. Die Initiative versteht sich als Ergänzung zu den bestehenden Angeboten und sucht eine Zusammenarbeit mit weiteren Distributoren (u.a. auch Onlinefilm.org.). Geleitet vom Solidargedanken strebt sie nach einer stärkeren Vernetzung unter Dokumentarfilmschaffenden. Das Portal wird getragen und beworben von den Filmschaffenden selbst, die nicht nur den eigenen Film, sondern auch die Plattform als solche fördern und ihre eigene Zuschauer-Communities auf die Plattform einbringen.

DOKfans - Das solidarische Netzwerk von Dokfilmer*innen für ihre Dokfans

Was ist DOKfans? Auf der Facebook-Seite und anderen Social Media-Kanälen von DOKfans werden die Macher*innen von Kino-Dokumentarfilmen als eingetragene Redakteure aktuelle Informationen zu ihren Kinoprojekten posten – vom Start eines Projektes über das Erscheinen in den Kinos bis zur weiteren Verwertung. Gleichzeitig sind die Filmemacher*innen aufgefordert, ihre bestehenden Filmfreunde und Fans über das solidarische Netzwerk DOKfans zu informieren. Wenn unsere Vision Wirklichkeit wird, können wir Filmemacher*innen so unsere Filmfreunde und Fans zusammen bringen, ein großes Netzwerk von Kino-Dokumentarfilm-Fans und -Freunden aufbauen und damit viele Zuschauer für unsere Kino-Filme interessieren. So kommen wir mit DOKfans auch dem Wunsch vieler Kinobesitzer nach, die Filmemacher*innen sollten ihre Kino-Dokumentarfilme besser bewerben. Zusätzlich heben wir mit DOKfans das öffentliche Interesse am Dokumentarfilm insgesamt und am Kino-Film im Besonderen – für die Zuschauer, für die Kinos, für die TV-Reaktionen, für Video-On-Demand-Dienste u.v.m. Last but not least werden sich aus dem solidarischen Netzwerk DOKfans neue Möglichkeiten der alternativen Filmfinanzierung wie Crowdfunding, Sponsoring, Spenden und Stiftungen für unabhängige Produktionen ergeben.

TADMOR

La prison à Tadmor était un lieu de l’horreur. Après la révolte populaire contre le régime syrien en 2011, un groupe d’anciens prisonniers décide de briser le silence sur des années passées derrière les barreaux. Jusqu’à la destruction de Tadmor par le groupe ISIS en 2015, des opposants au régime de Baschar al-Assad syriens et libanais y étaient systématiquement emprisonnés, humiliés et torturés. Huit d’entre eux témoignent des horreurs qu’ils ont vécu. Dans l’espoir de surmonter leur traumatisme, ils reconstruisent la situation de Tadmor dans une école abandonnée près de Beyrouth et endossent successivement les rôles de bourreaux et de victimes pour revivre le vécu. Tadmor est un film surprenant qui entraîne ses spectateurs par la force des mots et la plasticité des images. Un film sensible et complexe dédié à tous ceux qui ont survécu et à ceux qui sont encore emprisonnés.

Plateforme Dokomotive – Le futur a commencé

Dokomotive, un collectif réunissant des réalisateurs de Cologne, partage des thèmes centraux liés au film sur sa plateforme web. Régulièrement, le site est alimenté par des « packs documentaire » proposant un film en ligne, une diffusion spéciale et un discours vidéo. De cette manière, la plateforme souhaite créer un dialogue en s’éloignant du documentaire traditionnel et exigeant pour s’engager vers de nouvelles formes de réception et d’idées. Le collectif Dokomotive, composé de 20 réalisatrices et réalisateurs, se définit comme une communauté culturelle et poursuit en ce sens un objectif exigeant : construire de nouvelles passerelles vers le public dans le but d’accroître l’attention porté au genre du film documentaire.

Portail our films documentaires indépendants

En coopération avec Realeyz.de et AG DOK, des réalisateurs de films documentaires développent un nouveau concept de diffusion pour les films documentaires indépendants. La plateforme offre une alternative pour des films au financement libre, non conventionnels et ayant un impact social, dans la perspective de créer une diversité sociale pour plus de visibilité. Le projet se définit comme une offre complémentaire aux offres existantes et reste ouvert à la coopération avec d’autres distributeurs (par exemple Onlinefilm.org). Motivée par un esprit solidaire, la plateforme encourage la mise en réseau de réalisateurs de films documentaires. Le site est porté par des réalisateurs qui soutiennent non seulement leur propre film mais également la plateforme en y ralliant leur audience.

DOKfans – le réseau solidaire des réalisatrices et réalisateurs de films documentaires pour leur public

DOKfans, c’est quoi ? Sur la page Facebook et d’autres réseaux sociaux de DOKfans, les réalisatrices et réalisateurs de films documentaires pour le grand écran peuvent publier les actualités de leurs projets, depuis les premières étapes jusqu’à la projection sur grand écran ou l’utilisation dans un autre contexte. Les réalisateurs ont aussi pour devoir de tenir informés leurs amis cinéphiles et fans via le réseau solidaire de DOKfans. Le souhait des réalisateurs est de les réunir pour créer un grand réseau de cinéphiles et d’amateurs de films documentaires et toucher le grand public. Avec DOKfans, les réalisateurs s’engagent aussi pour une meilleure communication des films documentaires diffusés au cinéma, dont le manque est souvent souligné par les spectateurs. La plateforme a également permis au genre du film documentaire de gagner en visibilité, entre autres auprès des spectateurs, au cinéma, à la télévision et sur les services de vidéo à la demande. Le réseau solidaire s’engage pour d’autres modes de financement et proposera par ailleurs des alternatives comme le crowdfunding, le sponsoring, les dons ou les fondations pour productions indépendantes.
